Welcome to Amisto

Porvoo Vocational College, Amisto, is a modern, expressive and versatile institution, which operates in five different locations. There are many alternatives available for different vocational qualifications. Courses are 120 credits and take three years to complete and also include 20 credits of on-the-job learning, during which time the student will learn his or her vocation and improve their professional skills. Language of instruction in Amisto is Finnish.

Amisto tries to provide you with less time sitting in classrooms and more time on the job. This in turn will provide you with a good feel for your future vocation during studies. This approach to education will equip you for the different tasks you will face in your vocation as well as for further studies.

Amisto also offers apprenticeship training, further studies, continuing education and education for immigrants.

Possibility for upper secondary school education.

There is the possibility for upper secondary education as well as the possibility to complete your matriculation examination in all vocational fields of study in Amisto. For further studies one can apply for admission to a polytechnic or to a university.
